Jeddah Tower Construction Reaches New Milestone

Reaching for the Sky
Jeddah Tower has reached the 800-meter mark in its construction, putting it on track to become the world's tallest building upon completion in 2028. The tower, designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, will stand at over 1,000 meters, surpassing Dubai's Burj Khalifa by more than 170 meters.
Engineering Marvel
The tower features several groundbreaking engineering innovations:
- Triangular floor plan that reduces wind loads by 30%
- Ultra-high-performance concrete rated at 80 MPa
- Sky terraces at 200m intervals for emergency evacuation
- The world's highest observation deck at 660 meters
- 57 elevators including double-deck express lifts reaching 10 m/s
Mixed-Use Development
Jeddah Tower will house a Four Seasons hotel, luxury residences, Grade A offices, and retail space. The surrounding Jeddah Economic City spans 5.3 million square meters and includes waterfront residences, a marina, and the Kingdom's largest aquarium.
Tourism Magnet
The observation deck alone is expected to attract 1.5 million visitors annually. Advance tickets are already on sale for the projected 2028 opening.
