Jordan has designated the village of Hmoud as the City of Culture for 2027, aiming to promote national unity following a recent mass shooting that left nine dead. The initiative will highlight Hmoud's cultural and educational heritage through various projects, including a library and a memorial, reinforcing the importance of tolerance and social cohesion.
