Saudi Arabia’s Acwa Power has signed a Technical Services Agreement with Syria’s Energy Ministry to assess water resources and develop desalination and transmission solutions to enhance the country’s water security. This initiative comes amid a broader push for Saudi investments in Syria, aiming to address severe challenges in the water sector exacerbated by over a decade of conflict and underinvestment.
