US returns stolen antiquities worth $5 million to Syria
US officials have returned 36 antiquities, valued at over $5 million, to Syria. The items were seized from New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and other collectors, originally trafficked during the Islamic State’s destruction of Palmyra.
